- Metric used by RIP is hop count, với 1 là directly connected , 16 unreachable network.
- On startup, RIP broadcast a packet carrying a Request message out each RIP-enabled interface. RIP process the enters a loop, listenning for RIP Request or Response message from other router. Neighbor receiving the Request send Response containing their route table.
